Andy Shaw
For those of you that don’t know Andy, he’s one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. He’s been part of the race seen for over 20 years. Andy and his brother were part of the Wordsley Warriors Club and although the West Midlands Region gradually disappeared, Andy was one of the few from the region to continue through BMX racings lean period. His passion and enthusiasm for racing is that of somebody who has just caught the BMX bug.Andy has had a fantastic year in 2006 which was highlighted by placing 4th on his cruiser at the World Championships in Brazil, and I’d just like to say on behalf of Redditch Premiers congratulations and thoroughly deserved mate.

Kelvin Batey
I Did this interview with Kelvin a week before he flew out to France for the Supercross event. Unfortunately Kelvin suffered another setback with injury, and has just had his third lot of surgery in as many months this week, so I've been trying to think of a way to introduce this interview, and one word keeps springing to mind….DETERMINATION, it wont be long before he's back and stronger than ever, you have to admire that about Kelvin, He has had Injuries that would have finished a lot of riders, but has come back stronger and more determined than ever. He's a great role model for the kids of the sport. He has been the top UK Pro rider over the last 5 years dominating the Pro class during that time. He's been so close to a World title that he could touch it on a few occasions, and now with the Olympics on the horizon he is hungrier than ever for success. We just wish he was a bit luckier with injuries!!!!!!!
